Get to Know Us

CNH Group, founded in 2025, represents the modern continuation of a transformational movement that began in the late 1960s, when Rev. Edwin M. Muller initiated profound conversations with incarcerated men at Green Haven Correctional Facility. From those early dialogues emerged The Cadre (1967–1969), a pioneering collective committed to confronting the systemic, social, and psychological challenges faced by justice-impacted individuals.

After the 1971 Attica Rebellion in  New York State, Rev. Muller drew renewed clarity from the biblical Exodus narrative—seeing in it a powerful metaphor for liberation, healing, and human potential. This revelation led to the formation of Exodus in 1975, a program rooted in the belief that transformation must be both personal and communal.

Decades later, under the leadership of Julio Medina, these core principles were expanded and operationalized through Exodus Transitional Community, an organization that has served thousands across New York, offering hope, restoration, and new pathways toward reintegration.
CNH Group now carries this legacy forward—honoring its spiritual, historical, and community foundations while charting a modern course for holistic empowerment and social change.

Building on that legacy, CNH Group responds to the modern challenges of reentry, unemployment, and housing instability in metropolitan cities. The organization bridges spiritual insight with practical action—integrating workforce development, affordable housing initiatives, and entrepreneurial ventures that generate community wealth and self-sufficiency.
